STUDENTS & FACULTY/STAFF POSE FOR A PICTURE POST GAME
The College of Staten Island’s Intramural Program hosted its Students vs. Faculty/Staff Basketball Game last night at the Sports & Recreation Center. The game was played with four eight minutes quarters in which Faculty/Staff pulled out a, 54-50, win over the students.
During the first quarter, Faculty/Staff had the momentum connecting on some early buckets to maintain a four point lead while holding off the Students as they tried to out run Faculty/Staff in the early going. At the end of the first quarter, Faculty/Staff led, 18-16. In the start of the second quarter, Faculty/Staff would go on a run leading by as many as 14 points at one time. At half-time, Faculty/Staff led, 40-28, due to a large margin in the rebounding department.
At the start of the third quarter, the Students were determined to make a come-back, and did just that as they were able to outscore Faculty/Staff to bring the gap to within six, 47-41. The fourth quarter was a struggle for both teams, while the Students tried to take the lead, Faculty/Staff would again grab some big rebounds and maintain their lead right into the final buzzer. The final score was, 54-50.
