The College of Staten Island women’s tennis team won for the fourth-straight time this evening, scoring an impressive, 7-2, win over York College as part of CUNYAC action in Jamaica, NY, this afternoon.
The Dolphins were in a hole early, as once again, an incomplete lineup led to the Dolphins conceding No. 3 Doubles and No. 6 Singles. Down 2-0, the Dolphins got to work and won in convincing fashion. CSI scored a pair of 8-0 wins in doubles with the teams of Nozima Toshpulatova and Michelle Kushnir (No. 1) and Sabrina Bragerton-Nasert and Madiha Mulla (No. 2), both prevailing.
In Singles, CSI only gave up three total points, winning the match in equally convincing singles play. Mulla and Kushnir both scored 6-0, 6-0, wins while Toshpulatova, Bragerton-Nasert, and Aziza Jurabaeva each won a set 6-0, and another by a 6-1 score.
The four game unbeaten streak is the longest this season for the Dolphins, and CSI will take the streak to Farmingdale State on Friday for a 4:30pm non-conference match against the Rams.
