The City University of New York Athletic Conference’s Rookie of the Week honor is becoming synonymous with Christina Pasaturo, as the College of Staten Island freshman has taken the award for the seventh-straight time, it has been announced.  Pasaturo put up another banner week, as the Dolphins went 2-0 in CUNYAC play.

Pasaturo played in all but six minutes of the two contests and averaged 25.5 points in the two wins against City College of New York and Lehman College, far above her 15.5 point-per-game average this season.  Against CCNY, the guard dumped in 22 points on 8-12 shooting, adding a pair of three-pointers, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Four days later, Pasaturo poured in a game and career-high 29 points on 10-19 shooting, canning five three-pointers and five rebounds in the come-from-behind win.

For the season, the Notre Dame Academy graduate in averaging 15.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per contest, adding 33 assists and 22 steals.  She leads the team with a 40.5% shooting clip from beyond the arc.

The Dolphins get back to action tonight at the Sports & Recreation Center, when they take on York College at 5:30pm.
