The College of Staten Island women’s volleyball team will take to their home court for the final time this season. The Dolphins will take on Baruch College in a CUNYAC matchup starting at 7:00 pm. Siobhan Granich and Victoria Wong are the two seniors on the team and will be honored before tonight’s match.

Players to Watch (CSI): Siobhan Granich and Victoria Wong will play their final home match tonight in what has been a great career for each of them. Granich has tallied 143 kills on the year, which is a career high as well as a team high. Granich has incredible leadership and a motivation style which is quoted as being infectious to the rest of the team. Wong has well over 1000 career digs in her career with 350 of them coming in this season alone.
Players to Watch (BC): The Bearcats have two top caliber hitters on their squad in Akilah Meulens and Alessandra Chavez. Meulens leads the squad with 318 kills while Chavez follows with 208. Stephanie Cornwell is near the top of the table in assists in the CUNYAC with 690 on the year. Leslie Chen is a staple at the net for the Bearcats, as she makes it incredible hard for opposing teams to get clean hits at her defense. Chen has 42 blocks on the year, a team high.
News and Notes: The Dolphins have never defeated the Bearcats in their history and have taken just one set away from Baruch. Despite having a 10-21 record the Bearcats are 6-1 within the CUNYAC proving they are still a powerhouse within the conference. Staten Island was able to snap their four match losing skid over the weekend with a three set sweep of Medgar Evers College.
