The College of Staten Island (CSI) will present the Willowbrook Memorial Lecture: “The Willowbrook Mile Experience” on Tuesday, May 2 from 2:30pm to 4:00pm in the Lorraine and Gordon Di Paolo Board Room (Building 1A, Room 406).
Keynote speaker Diane M. Buglioli, MPA Deputy Executive Director, A Very Special Place and Co-Chairperson Staten Island Developmental Disability Council (SIDDC) Willowbrook Property Planning Committee, will join Barbra Teater, PhD Associate Professor, Department of Social Work; Ken Iwama, JD, Vice President for Economic Development, Continuing Studies, and Government Relations, and Chief of Staff, Office of the President; David Goode, PhD, Professor, Department of Sociology and Anthropology; and Nan Sussman, PhD, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences for this special event.
A reception and guided tours will follow, and refreshments will be provided by Auxiliary Dining Services and Lifestyles Café.

The Willowbrook Mile project is a collaboration among the Staten Island Developmental Disabilities Council, the primary advocacy consortium for families and service providers for people with developmental disabilities on Staten Island; the College of Staten Island; the Institute for Basic Research in Developmental Disabilities; and the Elizabeth Connelly Resource Center/Office for People with Developmental Disabilities.
