The College of Staten Island women’s volleyball team will square off against John Jay College tonight in the final CUNYAC match of the season. The Dolphins will look to bounce back tonight at the CSI Sports & Recreation Center at 7:00 pm against the Bloodhounds after falling 3-0 in their last outing.

Players to Watch (CSI): As the season has progressed, Margaret O’Malley-Rebovich has improved in each contest. O’Malley-Rebovich led the Dolphins with six kills in their last outing against Albertus Magnus. Caitlin Esposito was a wall at the net, collecting three blocks with seven digs. Cassidy Iannariello commands the back line and leads the team with 194 digs.
Players to Watch (JJC): The Bloodhounds have four players over the 100-kill mark this season and leading that pack is Brittany Steele with 211. Kimberly Rodriguez has allowed her teammates to have such success by setting the ball in the correct position, allowing them to strike the ball into open space. Rodriguez has amassed 563 assists on the year.
News & Notes: Over the last five meetings the Bloodhounds hold a 3-2 edge over the Dolphins with John Jay winning the last two meetings. The Dolphins do not play John Jay well on the road, just 3-9 over the years, however, at home, the Dolphins boast a 5-4 record against the Bloodhounds which is where they will be playing tonight. This will be the first meeting at the College of Staten Island since 2013 as the meetings after that have all been at neutral sites.
