The College of Staten Island women’s basketball team entertains CUNYAC foes, York College tonight at The Tank for their first conference installment since early December. Staten Island is coming off of an overtime win against Centenary University and will look to keep their momentum running tonight against the Cardinals.

Players to Watch (CSI): CUNYAC Player of the Week, Megan McEwan, is coming off of a 21-point performance which helped lift her team past Centenary University. McEwan paces the Dolphins, averaging 15.4 points while also dishing out a team-high 2.9 assists per game. Nicole Imbesi has played well for the Dolphins this season and is currently averaging 1.7 steals per game. Imbesi is coming off of a career-high eight points against Centenary on 50% shooting. Diana Todaro continued her stretch of double-digit point outings with 10 points on 60% shooting while pulling down six rebounds. 
Players to Watch (YC): Ellma Hodzic has poured in an average of 9.3 points per game this season, starting in 10-of-11 games. Hodzic controls the tempo on the court for the Cardinals and finds her open teammates to the tune of three assists per game. Mac-Dege Dessources is averaging a nation-leading 17.4 rebounds per game. Dessources scores 9.1 points per game on 45% shooting from the floor. Kristina Sierra is the deep threat for the Cardinals. Sierra converts 37% from range which helps stretch out defenses.
News & Notes: The Dolphins had a 15-game win streak against the Cardinals snapped in their last meeting in Staten Island, NY last season. In their last five outings against York, the Dolphins are averaging 79 points per game while holding the Cardinals to just 49 points per game. Staten Island has defended their home court well against York, posting a 34-3 record. York has not fared well on the road this season, going 0-7 to this point. Coming into this game, York is currently on a two-game losing skid after knocking off the College of New Rochelle, 76-68.
