As a reminder, CUNY’s Remote Work Agreement (cuny.edu) has been extended through June 30, 2024, based on agreement with CUNY, the PSC, and DC37. All eligible employees who have been approved by their supervisor to work a portion of their schedule remotely (no more than 30%) should complete and sign a Remote Work Agreement (cuny.edu), which details the terms of the agreement, as well the employee’s approved hybrid schedule, and submit it to their supervisor for signature. Supervisors and employees should adhere to the terms of the agreement as well as all other existing policies and procedures, including those related to time and leave. It is important that supervisors apply the policy fairly within their departments/offices, and it is equally important that employees adhere to the approved schedule, to the best of their ability, to minimize disruption to office operations. As previously noted, not every position lends itself to a remote component, and some positions will require more in-person work than others. This determination will be made by supervisors in consultation with their managers/directors and should be based on the essential functions of the position and the needs of the department/office.
Supervisors and employees should continue to refer to CUNY’s Flexible Work Guidelines for helpful information.
Should you have any questions or concerns about the policy, please contact Human Resources.
