The Center for Global Engagement and the Office of Recruitment and Admissions represented CSI at a global educational exchange event held by Study New York in Time Square. The Department of State’s EducationUSA saw advisers from around the world meet with New York institutions in an effort to build connections for international students looking to study in the U.S. The advisers hailed from Pakistan, Nigeria, Peru, Morocco, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, North Macedonia, Mexico, and Germany. The event allowed for practical discussion around new federal student visa policies and maintained a positive outlook for global academic exchange.

Monika Wojciechowski, of the Office of Recruitment and Admissions, highlighted CSI’s exceptional undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as its unique campus life and strong athletics programs. English Language Institute Director Christian Perticone reported that ELI programs are attractive to students who are seeking both a traditional campus experience and easy access to Manhattan. The College of Staten Island stood out as a balanced and affordable destination for those students around the world dreaming of studying in The Big Apple.
When EducationUSA’s advisers return to their home countries to share about the experience and connections they made, they will be telling students what we already know – CSI offers opportunities and experiences that help students build bridges to better futures.
