The Social Work Department and the Office of Accessibility Services invite you to a guest lecture: “Silent No Longer: Advancing the Fight for Disability Rights” with Robert P. Stack, CEO of Community Options.on Monday, Sept. 29 in the Center for the Arts (Building 1P), Room 109 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
This lecture is an exposé and a call to action, examining the harmful trend of private equity firms taking over disability support programs and the systemic neglect facing more than eight million individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the U.S. Drawing from his 40-year career as founder and CEO of Community Options, Robert Stack shares first-hand accounts of abuse and institutional failures while outlining 12 concrete steps that policymakers, providers, and communities can take to build a more inclusive and compassionate future.
