The CUNY Alert system notifies the CUNY community when a natural or human–made disaster strikes. To ensure that you receive CUNY Alerts at your desired contact points, we will be conducting a test of the system for all CUNY students, faculty, and staff on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, at 10:30am.
Please be sure to update your contact information including your SMS/Text messaging preferences. You can do this by logging into CUNYfirst and selecting the CUNY Alert tile. Remember that while students and guest users can unsubscribe from receiving CUNY Alerts, active faculty and staff cannot.
