WSIA is turning 45 and there’s still time to join the celebration!
On Saturday, August 29, WSIA alumni and current station members are invited to come together for a special afternoon celebrating four and a half decades of student radio at the College of Staten Island.
The WSIA 45th Anniversary Celebration will be an opportunity to reconnect with former classmates and fellow broadcasters, meet current station members, and share memories of the station’s remarkable history. The afternoon will feature music, food, games, station memories, and plenty of opportunities to catch up with the people who helped make WSIA what it is today.
Whether you spent your time behind the microphone, working behind the scenes, producing shows, or helping shape WSIA’s legacy in other ways, this milestone celebration is a chance to tune in, turn up, and reconnect.

The anniversary also provides an opportunity to help ensure that future generations of students have the same chance to learn, create, and broadcast through WSIA. Alumni and friends are invited to consider making a $45 gift in honor of 45 years of WSIA.
Gifts can support either the Pass the Mic Campaign, which helps fund equipment, technology, programming, and other station needs, or the WSIA Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships for deserving student broadcasters.
