The College of Staten Island women’s basketball team is set to tip off its 2026-27 season on the road against Assumption University on November 9 at 5:30pm, and are looking for another quality campaign.
Following their season opener, the Dolphins will return home to host the Conference Challenge Tournament, welcoming Assumption, Holy Family University, and Post University to The Tank. Last season, the Dolphins finished with a 12-18 overall record and a 7-9 mark in East Coast Conference (ECC) play. CSI made its fourth consecutive appearance in the ECC postseason, earning the fifth seed in the tournament. The Dolphins’ season ultimately came to an end against Daemen in the second round of the ECC postseason, but heading into the 2026-27 campaign, CSI returns seven players, including seniors Racky Kane, Shonyae Edmonds, and Dorothy Wiese, along with sophomores Giuliana Dito and Arielle “Stitchy” Barnes.
The Dolphins also welcome five newcomers as they look to build on last season’s postseason success. Nicole Sarcone enters her ninth season at the helm of the program and will be supported by assistant coaches Kelsey Carey, Allie McGinn, and Kayla Ferris.
