In what marked the official end of the 2016-17 season for women’s tennis, the College of Staten Island Dolphins fell to Farmingdale State College by an 8-1 count this evening in Farmingdale, NY.  The Rams lifted to 15-4 overall while CSI fell to 7-10.

The Dolphins’ only win came as part of Doubles play, where the team of Viktoriya Volkova and Guetanie Romain secired an 8-5 win oiver FSC’s Savannah Huerta and Julia Marino.  CSI, however, had no such luck in the other two matches, losing by identical, 8-0, scores.

when play turned to singles the teams agreed to play 10-point pro sets, and it was Farmingdale racing away to wins in all six flights.  At No. 5 Hannah Bruschi battled hard, ultimately falling to FSC’s Olivia Stauffer, 10-6.
