Excitement is building for College of Staten Island cross-country, as they turn the page to a new chapter of the sport on the campus.  The new athletic year brings the debut of new Head Coach Jason McFall, who will make his official foray on the grounds as a Dolphin after a club track season this spring.  The campus is also bringing back men’s cross-country after the school did not sponsor the sport in 2017.  With anxiety set to high, the Dolphins have officially finalized their 2018 schedule which begins in the coming days.

A total of eight Invitationals are sprinkled through the coming months for the Dolphins, with both the men and women slated to take the course.

The season will begin on the fall calendar’s first permissible play dat of Friday, August 31.  CSI will travel to Ramapo College for their opener, and will then have a nine-day rest before appearing for the first time at Van Cortlandt Park on September 9 for the Baruch College Invitational.  CSI will be at Van Cortlandt two more times, both in September.  The Dolphins will finalize the month, however, on Staten Island, when they host the CSI Invitational at 10:00 am at Clove Lakes Park.

A light October will follow with three meets, finalizing with the CUNYAC Championship held on October 28, once again at Van Cortlandt Park.

All Cross-Country meets are free of charge for all spectators, including the CUNYAC Championship.
