A project to replace the roof of the Sports and Recreation Center (Building 1R) is scheduled to start today. The first step will be to fence off a staging area next to the upper (south) entrance and construct protective safety bridges over both the upper and lower (north) entrances. Actual work on the roof is expected to start in mid-August. Some noise and odor are expected at some stages of the installation; however, every precaution will be taken to minimize them. The entire project is estimated to take approximately six months.
