We urge you to visit www.supportcuny.org and contact Albany lawmakers again this week about the State budget. Both the Assembly and Senate have passed a one-house resolution on the 2011/2012 Executive Budget.
The Senate Resolution restores half of the community college base aid cut but “sweeps” out of CUNY’s budget $40 million in revenue already anticipated for this coming fiscal year (this needs to be corrected). The Assembly Resolution also restores 50 percent of the base aid reduction. Neither budget resolution restores proposed senior college funding reductions.

Please contact legislators immediately. State government leaders are asking budget conference committees to prioritize budget decisions and are quickly moving toward the Friday, April 1, 2011 budget deadline.
