The College of Staten Island captured two 20-0 wins over Yeshiva University on Sunday afternoon at the CSI Baseball Complex. The Dolphins extend their record to 6-3 on a five game win streak while Yeshiva falls to a 0-7 record.
The Dolphins scored in each inning of the first game. Sal Todaro, Will Difede and Joseph Innocente all totaled three hits each as Innocent and Joe Cassano had three RBI apiece. Casey Mulligan captured the win on the mound, striking out eight of the 15 batters he faced in five innings. John Macklin and Dominic Casella closed out the final two innings with a strikeout each.
The second game was led by Dan Lynch’s three hits and Bryan Moreno’s and Sal Todaro’s three RBI apiece. The Dolphins scored three in the first inning, five in the second and six in both the third and fourth inning. Kieran Monaghan captured his first win of the season striking out four in the first three innings. Nick Amatucci, Robert Jannace, Anthony Storz and Daniel Slevin each pitched an inning to close out the game combining for seven strikeouts and allowing just two hits.
The Dolphins will be back in action on Tuesday, March 13, as they take on New Paltz in a 4:00 pm single home game.
