Kristi Dillon totaled three hits in today's doubleheader.

The Dolphins spilt today’s doubleheader with FDU-Florham. The Devils won game one with a score of 6-3 before CSI would take game two with a score of 5-4. The Dolphins extend to a 15-18 record while FDU stretched to a 14-17 record.

In game one, the Devils scored three runs before CSI would tie the score at the bottom of the fifth inning with a Kaitlyn Flynn two run double and a Stefanie Solari RBI sac fly. FDU cam back at the top of the seventh scoring three runs for the win off of a Megan McInaw two run double and Brianne Faynor’s single to right field.

McInaw caputured the win from the mound while Victoria Procopio suffered the loss despite six strikeouts.

CSI started game two with two runs in the first inning with the help of a Solari RBI and a Danielle Ponsiglione RBI single up the middle.

FDU answered in the fourth with a CSI error, McInaw’s sac RBI, and Faynor’s RBI single to take the lead, 3-2.

CSI responded right back with three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take the lead again, 5-3. Brittany Smith led off with a single before Flynn would walk and set the bases for Solari who singled to left to score them both. Catherine Ebro’s sac fly RBI would extend the Dolphins lead. 

FDU was able to add one run at the top of the seventh with Megan Golembiewski’s sac RBI to close the gap to one but it was not enough to pull ahead.

Stefanie Solari earned the win from the mound while Karla Babb suffered the loss.

The Dolphins begin CUNYAC Tournament playoffs on Saturday, May 4 at 12:00 pm at home.
