The College of Staten Island women’s basketball team is in action tonight at the CSI Sports & Rec Center at 7:30 pm against the Beavers of CCNY.

Last Meeting: January 6, 2015, where the Dolphins defeated the Beavers 66-53. CSI leads the all-time series 34-21 and have won 25 straight, a win streak that dates back to the 1997 season.

The Beavers come into tonight’s game on a five game losing streak and only three wins on the road.  CCNY leans heavily on their top scorer Tiara Brown as she leads in several offensive categories two of which are the points (13.4) and rebounds (10.4) per game.  Brown will look to find a crack in the Dolphin defense and break her teams losing streak and move up in the CUNYAC Standings.

CSI saw their six game win streak come to an end against Brooklyn College when they lost 52-69.  Megan Campbell once again proved too much for the Dolphins to handle as she poured in 25 points and dominated the boards with 16 rebounds.  CSI has five games remaining before playoffs and currently sit in third place above Lehman College who they will face at home in their last regular season game.  Christina Pasaturo and Victoria Crea have stepped up in the last couple of games each scoring in double digits and lifting the team up.  The women will hope to replicate the game they played against John Jay where they were able to shoot 50% and play superior defense which only allowed 20% shooting from their opponents.
