The College of Staten Island women’s volleyball team will be playing in its final home regular season game tonight at the Sports & Recreation Center at 7:00pm against Hunter College, and when they do so, they will be doing it to raise awareness for a special cause. The Dolphins have teamed with Matt Valente’s Walk4 organization, a program that raises awareness for spinal cord related injuries and raises money towards a cure.

Players To Watch (CSI): Siobhan Granich is second on the team with 94 kills this season as she will attack the net in hopes of trying to win their first ever game against the Hawks. Rosamarie Gonzalez will be the brick wall that Hunter will have to break in order to secure points tonight. Gonzalez leads the Dolphins with 37 blocks on the year which places her third in the CUNYAC.
Players to Watch (HC): Hunter has the four of the top five hitters in the CUNYAC and will prove troublesome for the Dolphins. Julia Connolly leads the way with a team high and CUNYAC high 361 kills while hitting .230 on the year.
News and Notes: The Dolphins have been swept in all 15 matches against Hunter College in their history. Staten Island will play in their last home and CUNYAC game tonight and tonight’s match will determine their seeding as well as the outcome of other matches.
