The Dolphins last took on New York University in a doubleheader on Sunday and had a split decision, W 7-5, L 2-7.  Frank Muzzio went 2-for-3 with 2 runs in the game one win.  Mike Fitzpatrick secured his fourth win of the season with a complete game allowing five runs on seven hits and five strikeouts.

The last time these two teams met was on April 6, 2011 where the Dolphins broke their six game losing streak against the Gothic Knights and won 7-3.  New Jersey City University is 21-16 all-time against the Dolphins and have won seven of the last ten meetings.
 
The Gothic Knights have not taken part in postseason play since they were part of the CUNYAC Championship against the Dolphins in 2005. NJCU finished their conference play in 9th place with a 6-12 record. 
 
The Dolphins last took on New Jersey City University yesterday and came home with two more victories. Staten narrowly pulled out a 3-0 game one victory while game two was the polar opposite as they would go on to win 15-11.  The Dolphins hit three home runs in game two enroute to a 15-run 16-hit game.  Nicolette Trapani got the start in the circle in both games and secured the win in each to improve her record to 12-4. In game two Christina Tufano hit four RBIs and broke the CSI single season record for RBIs with 50.
 
The last time these two teams met was on April 21, 2014 in Patchogue, NY where the Dolphins and Eagles split.  The Dolphins trail the Golden Eagles 6-12 all-time and have won three of the last six meetings. When playing the Eagles at the CSI Softball Complex the Dolphins are 4-6.
