The College of Staten Island women’s soccer team suffered its first loss of the season this past Wednesday, and will look to turn the tide today when they visit the College of Mount Saint Vincent for a 1pm, non-conference, test in Riverdale, NY.

Players To Watch (CSI):  CSI keeper Kristy Colangelo made a career-high 11 stops on Wednesday night against Rutgers-Newark and her play in goal will be a key today.  Colangelo made eight saves in last year’s meeting against MSV.  Stephanie Rivera led CSI with a pair of shots in last year’s meeting as well.
Players To Watch (MSV):  First-team Skyline Conference All-Star Erica Lencsak is back for MSV this season as a junior and expects to lead the Dolphins in 2015. Keeper Elizabeth Martin made a pair of saves in MSV’s shutout win over CSI a year ago. Julia McGowan is coming off of a hat trick against SUNY-Delhi last weekend.
News and Notes:  Today’s game will pit CSI head coach Giuseppe Pennetti’s against his former Dolphins’ team at Mt. St. Vincent.  CSI is 5-0 all-time at Mount Saint Vincent and hold an 11-2 edge in the series overall.  CSI had won the previous 10 games in the series before MSV scored their 2-0 win a year ago.  MSV has been idle since last Sunday, a 7-0 win over SUNY-Delhi.  Their match vs. Yeshiva on Thursday was rained out.
