The College of Staten Island women’s volleyball team is officially on a winning streak, having won a pair of games last week going in to this new week of play, and at 4-4, they will travel to St. Joseph’s College of Brooklyn, to start an eight-game road swing.  The Bears are also at .500, sporting a 2-2 overall mark.

Players To Watch (CSI): Selma Kolenovic is coming off a great week for CSI, sporting a hitting percentage of over .500 and leading the team in kills while placing second in digs.  Rosamarie Gonzalez had an exciting week and is now third on the squad with 28 kills.
Players to Watch (SJC):  Look for Lauren Ganun to be a force at the front of the net as she leads the squad in kills with 47, and in last year’s meeting she had an astounding 27 kills.  Nina Dicoccio is the leader in the back with 51 digs.
News and Notes:  CSI is on a two-game win streak for the second time this season.  SJC is also on a two-game win streak after dropping their first two games of the season.  SJC had won the last four games in the series before CSI took both meetings last year in a home-and-home series.  The squads will do the same this year.  They will meet again at CSI on October 15.
