She made 10 stops in a 2-1 win over St. Joseph’s (LI) and then made four saves in a shutout tie against Brooklyn on Saturday. Her seventh clean sheet of the season. Danielle Alexandrini is CSI’s leading scorer with 12 markers on 48 shots.
Players To Watch (WPU): Goals have been hard to come by for the Pioneers, but Amanda Carmichael leads that department with three tallies on 10 shots. Look for Rachel Rivell to be active. She leads the team in shots with 21.
News and Notes: This is the first time the teams are meeting since 2009, when WPU handed CSI a 10-0 loss. CSI is coming off of a 0-0 tie with Brooklyn on Saturday, breaking up a five-game winning streak, tied for the third-longest all-time at CSI. These two teams share two common opponents. CSI defeated St. Joseph’s (LI), 2-1, while WPU tied the Eagles on opening day, 1-1. Both teams lost to Rutgers-Newark this season. The pioneers fell, 2-1, while the Dolphins suffered their hardest defeat of the year, 5-0.
