The Office of Information Technology Services (OTS) would like to share some important initiatives and events:

  • Mark your calendars for OTS’s Brown Bag: Reduced Sign On! Tuesday, Nov. 15, 3:00pm (Location TBD). Are you frustrated with the many passwords you need to remember in order to access your systems? Information Services will be introducing Dell’s Common Access Manager (CAM), which will assist faculty, staff, and students by providing an environment that leverages a single sign on environment. Refreshments will be served.
  • Microsoft Office Productivity Suite is now available for home use. Office 365 Pro Plus is now available for faculty and staff. CSI can obtain up to 15 free copies of the Microsoft Office productivity suite, which can be installed on up to 15 personal devices, including PCs, Macs, tablets, and mobile devices. The free version includes Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, in addition to other applications. Login credentials are the CUNYfirst user name followed by @login.cuny.edu (e.g., Jane.Doe16@login.cuny.edu) with your CUNYfirst password. More information is available online.
  • CUNY Virtual Desktop The University-wide availability of the CUNY Virtual Desktop now enables all students and faculty on CUNYfirst to access these applications from their home or library computer, a laptop, or any mobile device at any time using this interface.
