The College of Staten Island men’s tennis team will be eyeing a CUNYAC Championship in 2017, and they have released their official 2017 schedule that is chock full of great matchups from start to finish culminating with what they hope will be a trip to the National Championship by season’s end.

The 2017 installment will start with a pair of early season indoor tests for the Dolphins, first on the road against Yeshiva University on February 23 and the second against NCAA Division I Wagner College at the CSI Tennis Center on March 4.  From there, the Dolphins will spend four of the next five matches on their home court, a run that includes their conference opener against Hunter College on March 29.

Nine matches decorate the month of April, including a CUNYAC road test against Brooklyn College and a road-finale against Ramapo College on April 19 in a match that will also feature both women’s teams competing as well.  Back-to-back matches against John Jay College and Lehman College will take place at the CSI Tennis Center, and the regular season will conclude with another CUNYAC test against perennial CUNYAC favorites Baruch College on April 21.

The CUNYAC Postseason Tournament will begin on April 28 with Quarterfinal play, with play continuing at the National Tennis Center on April 30 (Semifinals) and May 4 (Final).  The Dolphins have not won a CUNYAC Championship since 2003.

Admission to all CSI home tennis events are FREE and PG CLUE-Certified for all CSI students.
