The College of Staten Island baseball team enjoyed a back-to-back CUNYAC Championship a year ago, and will enter 2017 with high hopes that will begin in early March and conclude in early May, as the team officially announced its 2017 schedule this afternoon.

The Dolphins will open up their campaign in familiar Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, taking part in the Cal Ripken Experience.  The three-day, six-game swing will see CSI face-off against Southern Virginia, Muhlenberg College and Chatham University.   The Dolphins will then usher in regional play with a six-game home stand that extends from March 11 to March 17, culminating in a matchup with perennial power Kean University.

Baseball’s opening moth will end with three straight home dates as well, in time for an April 1 CUNYAC-opening doubleheader on the road against John Jay College.  The Dolphins will play a three-game set against CUNYAC sides, played each weekend in April.  That run includes a showdown with Baruch College on April 22-23, in what will be a rematch of the last two CUNYAC Finals.

CSI’s loaded home schedule also features its annual Grace Hillery Breast Cancer Awareness Night, played once again against Drew University on Tuesday, April 18, at 7:00pm.  The Dolphins’ season will end with a three-game swing against Lehman College on April 29-30.  That will lead into the CUNYAC Postseason, where the top four teams battle in double-elimination play at the College of Staten Island on May 5-6.

Tickets to all CSI home baseball games are FREE and PG-CLUE Certified for all CSI students.
