The College of Staten Island men’s & women’s swimming & diving teams are putting a cap on their regular season tonight, wrapping up against conference-rivals York College in Jamaica, NY.  It will be the final meet for both teams before the CUNYAC Championships next weekend.

Where: York College Pool – 94-20 Guy R. Brewer Boulevard, Jamaica, NY
Last Meeting: January 25, 2018 – CSI Men won, 163-38 / CSI Women won, 107-43
Players to Watch (CSI): Michael Stora has taken over as the overall points leader for CSI as he has been a pat of 137 points this season and leads the team with 10 first-place finishes.  Peter Carle has also been swimming very well of late and is now second on the team with 13 Top 3 finishes in individual events.  Carle is also tied with Leo Litovsky for the most Top 3 finishes in relay events as well.  On the women’s side, Lisnette Solano is the CSI points leader with 167, followed closely by Cecelia Mauro  with 148 points and Gabriella Bartley’s 147.  Kimberly Hernandez has been terrific in relay events, scoring 11 Top 3 finishes in that area.
Players to Watch (YC): York will be looking to get some great times out of Anthony Nozario along with Arafath Hussein and Jeremy Sapeg.  On the women’s side, Mariela Rosario is looking for another strong outing.  Dorianny Rojas and Shantusha Kanhai will also be looking to add some solid points.
News & Notes: The CSI men had their three-game meet win streak snapped last week at Sarah Lawrence and will be looking to get back on track tonight.  The Dolphin men have taken all 16 meetings against York all-time.  The women have had even more success, going a perfect 19-0 all-time against the Cardinals.
