New York, NY | The College of Staten Island Indoor Track & Field season is not quite over yet. Today and tomorrow a pair of Dolphins will be making their ECAC debut as both Deavion Brown and Kharyn Ethridge will showcase at the ECAC Division III Championship at The New Balance Track & Field Center at The Armory in Manhattan. The ECAC Championship takes place over two days at The Armory and Brown and Ethridge will be competing on both days in a total of four events.
On Friday, it will be Brown on the docket, as she will participate in the 60-meter Dash preliminaries at approximately 4:30pm. A total of 14 runners will take place in the event with seven invited back for the finals on Saturday. Right now, Brown is seeded first and will be hoping for a strong run that will secure her time in the finals on Saturday at approximately 10:50am.
After Brown’s 60-meter Dash, it will then be Ethridge’s time to shine on Saturday as part of the 400-meter Dash at approximately 11:15am. Seven runners will be pitted in the race with Ethridge’s seeded fifth. About an hour later, Ethridge will bounce right into the 800-meter Run, where she is seeded sixth in the field. That race is scheduled to go off at 12:40pm.
Finally, Brown will cap the race with the 200-meter Dash. That race is scheduled to go off at 1:40pm. In the field of 10 racers, Brown is seeded seventh.
