Players to Watch (CSI): CSI got a pair of hits yesterday from Domenick Castiglione, Nicholas Meola and Jett Nouvertne, with Meola adding a team-best three RBI.  Castiglione stole the only base for CSI yesterday too.  John Pomerico was a hero in last year’s win over UVF, as he went 4-4 with four RBI and three runs scored in an 11-7 decision over the Patriots.
Players to Watch (FSU): Through a modest two games, Cody Tak leads UVF with a pair of hits in five at-bats, adding three RBI so far.  Both hits have been for extra bases as well.  James Jackson, Waldo Odens, Jr., and Richard Cosgrove have also raked in a pair of hits in seven total at-bats each.  Odens, Jr., and Cosgrove boast the only other RBI this season for the Patriots.
News & Notes: These two teams matched up at the Ripken Experience for the very first time a year ago.  UVF took the opener, 4-2, while CSI returned the favor with a much higher scoring, 11-7, decision in the second game.  Christian Capellan got the win last year for CSI, tossing 3.2 innings of relief.  Last year marked a tough season for UVF, as they went 7-23 overall, but they did finish strong, winning four of their final five games by a combined score of 56-30.  This year they have started 0-3, as they dropped a pair of games to Gallaudet University, 21-3, and 12-3, and then one to Centenary (NJ), 21-0.  New for this season, Valley Forge is playing in the Colonial State Athletic Conference.  As for the Dolphins, they started the season yesterday, with a split with Fredonia.  After today, CSI will face off against Chatham University tomorrow afternoon.  UVF will also lock up with Chatham on March 7.
