We are writing to you today as the Co-Chairs of the Campus Health, Safety, and Re-entry committee with an important update on CSI’s re-entry planning. Last week, CUNY and the State approved CSI’s campus re-entry plan. Through the  joint efforts of Academic Affairs and Facilities and Operations, we will now move ahead and focus on implementing the measures outlined in the plan with a focus on ensuring the health and safety of the members of the campus community who are approved to return.

This week, Facilities and Operations began implementation of the phasing process according to the Staged Reopening, Section II.C.; which includes preparing buildings 6S and 5N for limited re-entry. As our teams work through ensuring that HVAC and plumbing systems are prepped, and appropriate signage and occupancy numbers are displayed, we want to reiterate that returning to campus will be limited to those who have been authorized and approved to return. All other faculty and staff will continue to work remotely and no one should plan to come to campus unless they are approved to do so. Once an individual or group has been authorized to return to the campus, each person must complete a Daily Health Screening using CUNY’s Everbridge Health Screening Application.

We will continue to communicate as we progress through the implementation of our Re-entry Plan and as CUNY updates us with additional re-entry guidance.
