Welcome back, the spring term is about to begin. I’d like to take this opportunity to share some important dates and deadlines set within the Academic Calendar that can have great impact on our students (please note that the Academic Calendar is subject to change at any time by official action of the University):
- Wednesday, Jan. 24: Last day for a student to receive a 100% tuition refund for dropping a class(es).
Thursday, January 25: Classes begin.
- Wednesday, Jan. 31: Last day to add a class or swap a class.
Financial aid certification is based on student’s enrollment status on this day.
Last day for a student to receive a 75% tuition refund for dropping a class(es).
- Wednesday, Feb. 7: Last day for a student to receive a 50% tuition refund.
Wednesday, Feb. 14: Census date.
Last day a student can drop on CUNYfirst without a W grade on the transcript.
Last day to register for an independent study course for the spring term.
Last day a student can change or declare a major/minor for it to be effective in the spring term.
Friday, Mar. 1: Last day for student to apply for June 2024 graduation.
Wednesday, May 15: Last day of regularly-scheduled classes.
Last day a student can drop themselves from a class in CUNYfirst with a grade of W (which bears no impact on their GPA).
- Thursday, May 16-Wednesday, May 22: Final Exam Period (details to be sent under separate cover).
- Thursday, May 16: Grade Rosters open.
Lastly, grade rosters close on Tuesday, May 28 at 11:59pm.
