As it does at the end of each calendar year, City & State New York has released its list of the most powerful and influential individuals on Staten Island, and College of Staten Island President Dr. Timothy G. Lynch was prominent on the list, coming in at No. 33.

Dr. Lynch will be celebrating the close of his third full year as CSI President in January, and was lauded by City & State New York primarily for CSI’s work in the recent expansion of offshore wind initiatives at the College, an area where CSI made significant progress in 2024.

“A veteran college leader with a background in maritime education, Timothy Lynch combines those interests for the benefit of College of Staten Island students,” said City & State New York of Dr. Lynch. “Lynch announced a partnership with Arthur Kill Terminal this year to help train students in offshore wind careers at the terminal, which is intended to serve as an assembly facility for offshore wind.”

City & State New York announces its Top 100 in each borough each year. Of their collected list, City & State New York said, “Staten Island may be New York City’s smallest borough, but its residents punch above their weight, making sure their voices are heard and they are never actually forgotten.”
