The College of Staten Island observed the memory of 27 alumni that perished in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, with a ceremony held at the 9/11 Memorial site on campus today. The program featured introductory words from President Timothy G. Lynch, along with music from student Maxsim Nam, poetry from Distinguished Professor Tyehimba Jess, a reading of the alumni by Debra Denmark ’92, and words from former Navy veteran Laura Scazzafavo, the Director of Veteran Support Services.
