The College of Staten Island’s 28th annual commencement ceremony will be held Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 10 a.m. on the college’s Great Lawn, rain or shine. Approximately 2000 students, at the undergraduate and graduate level, are expected to receive their degrees.

The guest speaker, Congressman Vito Fossella, will also receive the President’s Medal. Congressman Fossella, who represents Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn, serves on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and the House Committee on Financial Services, as well as several subcommittees.

Stacey Domenic, graduating with 4.0 GPA, will bring greetings from the students. Domenic plans to teach social studies as a New York City school teacher after graduation. “I am proud to have chosen a career that matters so much in this world, one that impacts the livers of children,” says Domenic, “and I can honestly say that this opportunity would not have been possible without all the things I have learned and experienced while at CSI.”
