The New York Times recently chronicled the legal battle facing New York Police Department officer Matthew Bianchi, a former College of Staten Island student. Bianchi claims he was punished for issuing tickets to motorists bearing PBA cards. The piece, written by NYT reporter Jonah E. Bronwich, is titled, “An Idealistic Cop, a Forbidden Ticket and a Police Career on the Brink” is available behind paywall on the New York Times Website.
