The CUNY Brightspace Team will join us to provide an introduction to the learning environment, functionalities, and features of this new Learning Management System (LMS).
—Promoting Success: Faculty Practices for Career-Ready Graduates (12:15pm to 1:00pm)
CSI is proud of its place as an engine of social mobility. Let’s come together to make it even more remarkable. How can faculty help students understand the relationship between their academic work and future careers? This lecture/workshop will discuss how faculty already contribute to students’ career readiness. Presenters will be Professors Sarah Zelkowitz and Raja Krishnaswami.
–Teaching Large Classes @ CSI (2:30pm to 4:00pm)
Join Professors Batson, Lavender, Liu, and Paris for a lively discussion about teaching large classes at CSI. In this event, moderated by Dean Sarolta Takács, colleagues will aim aim to share the unique rewards and challenges that come with engaging students, managing grading, upholding academic integrity, and other strategies to make jumbo classes effective and enjoyable for students and faculty, alike (2:30 to 4:00pm)
