A group of Italian students recently wrapped up an enriching three-week summer program at CSI, where they engaged in a series of seminars titled “New Trends and Applications in Data Science & Business Analytics.”
During their time on campus, the students immersed themselves in the latest data analysis and prediction techniques, demonstrating remarkable enthusiasm and dedication to their studies. The seminars, organized and led by esteemed faculty members from the Lucille and Jay Chazanoff School of Business, in collaboration with the Center for Global Engagement, provided a platform for students to explore innovative applications in data science and enhance their understanding of business analytics. They also visited to the MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company (USA) Inc. and the Federal Reserve Bank, and explored New York City’s cultural institutions and landmarks.
The instructional staff included experts from the Chazanoff School of Business and University of Calabria, and guest lecturers from both academia and industry. In particular, we would like to thank Professors Nancy Guo, Jonathan Peters, George Vachadze, Saverino Verteramo, and the academic coordinator Professor Paolo Cappellari.
Students were supported through the Erasmus Program, which allows European Union students to travel internationally, including destinations such as New York City. As the students return to Italy, they carry with them valuable knowledge and skills that will undoubtedly contribute to their future academic and professional pursuits.
