Club (formerly the OUI club.), in collaboration with Maria Tountas and Project Home Front, invite you to join us in our next service project “Project Troop Drive,” which is committed to sending personal hygenic items and non-perishable items to our military troops abroad with the assistance of Project Home Front. Examples of items include letters, baby wipes, insect repellent (spray bottles), laundry soap (small travel-size), paper, envelopes, pens, bars of soap, aloe vera/sunblock, shampoo, conditioner, foot or baby powder, hand lotion, eye drops, toilet paper, cotton swabs, facial tissue, razors, toothpaste, mouthwash, hand/foot warmers, socks, and deodorant (roll-on or gel).
Ms. Tountas and our club have “adopted” a military unit that is currently serving in Afghanistan. We are asking members of the campus community to please review the list provided above, select just one or two items, and place them in our drop-off boxes locatedin the lounge of the Office of Disability Services (Building 1P, Room 101). We will be collecting items until Friday, Mar. 26, 2010.
