The College of Staten Island women’s volleyball team is looking to lift itself over the .500 mark this season, and will seek a road win tonight in Patchogue, NY, when they face St. Joseph’s College of Long Island in non-conference action.   The Eagles will be looking to get to .500 this season with a win.

Players To Watch (CSI): Rosamarie Gonzalez has been coming on strong for the Dolphins in recent games, and now stands third on the squad in kills.  Brittany Minondo continues to be a force behind the line, leading the team in aces with 36.
Players to Watch (SJC):  Look for Heather Ferchland to be a force in the middle.  She leads SJC with a healthy 167 kills this season, good for 3.2 per game.  Jenna Beekman has been equally strong in the back with 150 digs.
News and Notes:  CSI has never been able to beat the Eagles, despite having taken a game off of SJC in each of the past two years.  In last year’s match, CSI was led by Selma Kolenovic with 6 kills and Victoria Wong’s 14 digs.  Ferchland led the way for SJC with 8 kills.  CSI is 0-4 all-time at St. Joseph’s.
