The College of Staten Island got another CUNYAC win today against Lehman College, 7-2, at the CSI Tennis Bubble in Staten Island, NY. The Dolphins improved to 8-3 overall and 3-1 in the CUNYAC while the Lightning dropped to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in the CUNYAC.

Play started with doubles and the Dolphins were able to capture a 3-0 lead. In the spot light on court one, Sabrina Bragerton-Nasert and Samantha Mazier narrowly defeated Lynessa George and Kanto Rasedoara 9-7. Nozima Toshpulatova and Hannah Ramirez quickly won their battle on court two with a lopsided 8-1 score line. In another nail biter on court three, the duo of Jonaldy Edouard and Guetanie Romain squeezed by Elizaveta Ostanina and Natalie Carrasquilo 8-6.

CSI needed just two wins to come away with their eighth win of the season and they did just that which was capped off by Bragerton-Nasert winning 6-0, 6-1 in the no. 2 slot. Scoring a 6-1, 6-4 victory from court three, Mazier gave the Dolphins the win the needed to seal the deal in the Dolphins’ favor.
