The College of Staten Island softball team takes to the road this afternoon to take part in another CUNYAC doubleheader.  Today they will take on York College starting at 12:00 pm and will look to extend their win streak to 9 in a row with the pair of wins.

Players To Watch (CSI): Kristy Colangelo has played extremely well as of late, batting 4-for-9 with seven RBIs and three runs scored over her last four games. Colangelo also controls the outfield from center field and makes quality shift calls to put her team in the right position to collect the outs.  Patricia Riches continues to shine as a freshman for the Dolphins as she leads the team with a .585 batting average, three home runs, and 18 RBIs.  Riches also produces from the shortstop position as she has 17 putouts, 22 assists, and just one error on the year.  Undefeated pitcher Jacqueline Cautela is having a sensational year in the circle and boasts a 0.21 ERA through five games and has allowed just one earned run.
Players To Watch (YC): Tyler Smith leads the charge for the Cardinals with a .250 batting average and just two strikeouts this season. Driving in the runs is Chyla Guevara with one RBI while also picking up a walk. Dorianny Rojas has a 13.03 ERA this season and is 0-2 through 9.2 innings pitched.
News & Notes: The Dolphins have never lost to the Cardinals since York became a team in 2002.  The Cardinals have not scored a run on the Dolphins since the 2014 season and have also never scored more than two runs on the Dolphins. Staten Island has been on a roll since returning from Florida this year and continue to improve as the games go on as they look to win their fifth-straight CUNYAC title.
