After a two-week layoff, the College of Staten Island men’s and women’s cross-country squads are putting it all on the line today as they get set to race in the annual CUNYAC Championship Meet at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.

CSI @ CUNYAC CHAMPIONSHIP AT-A-GLANCE
Race: Women’s 6K at 9:30 am; Men’s 8K at 10:00 am
Where: Van Cortlandt Park – Broadway and Vancortlandt Park S, Bronx, NY 10471
Last Year’s Result:  Men: Did Not Place / Women:  7th Place (7)
Runners to Watch (CSI): The Dolphins have had several runners performing among the top all season as you would expect nothing less at the championship.  On the women’s side, Tristiana Adragna has been CSI’s fastest runner in all but one race, and closing in with her are freshmen Brittani Broderick and N’Zinga Duverney-Beavers.  Look for Rachel Edmonds and Deavion Brown to also get their best times in as well today.  On the men’s side, the one-two punch of Spencer Milito and Liam McMunn should make CSI a big contender today.
News & Notes: Last year, the Dolphins men did not participate in this meet but the women did.  They came in seventh place, last among the scoring schools at the Championship.  It goes without saying that the CSI sides will likely make the biggest jumps of all of the schools that are competing today.  They are expected to be in the mix for numerous medals and with great runs today should figure right at the top of the team scoring.  Look for Hunter College and CCNY competing for the first place trophy on both sides, with CSI, Baruch College, and John Jay College all battling for positioning as well.
