As we expected, the details of the safe return to our campus are emerging slowly as changes take place in the course of the pandemic, and guidance from the CDC, NY State, NYC, and CUNY. Last week, our return to campus date was pushed back from Monday, Aug. 2 to Monday, Aug. 16 to allow more time for facilities walkthroughs, implementation of testing and vaccination verification procedures, and installation of technology.
Yesterday, students were informed that the deadline for full vaccination of students taking hybrid or in-person courses was pushed back from Tuesday, Aug. 10 to Tuesday, Sept. 14. Information on this change, and how vaccination and/or verification of a negative test can be submitted can be found online. CSI’s CAAS has a number of additional FAQS online.

The revised CSI Re-Entry plan was approved by CUNY last week. A pdf version is available online and an ADA-compliant version will be available there within a few days.
Policies for CUNY, the City, and State remain in flux, and we will apprise you of any new developments between now and the return to campus and the start of the semester. A re-entry Town Hall for faculty and staff will be held next Tuesday, Aug. 10, from noon to 2:00pm, and one for students is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 19.
