The search for the Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences has moved to the stage where we have invited candidates for campus visits. President Morales and the Search Committee believe that it is essential for all constituencies of the College community to have input into the final determination of the Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, and we strongly urge you to participate in this process.
To facilitate input from various stakeholders, we have organized the campus visits so that as many persons as possible will have opportunities to meet with the candidates. Separate times have been scheduled for the departmental chairs, elected members of the Executive Committee and Faculty Senate leadership, PSC delegates, the President’s Cabinet, and Provost Council. In addition, a Town Hall-type of setting will be provided so that every member of the College community can meet with and talk to the prospective Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences.
We have established a Website, available here, where the schedules of campus visits and the time slots when different constituencies may come to hear the candidate, letters of application, and curricula vitae of each applicant are posted.
We hope that you will take advantage of these opportunities to meet the candidates.
