Mr. Paul Bobb has been appointed interim Athletic Director at the College of Staten Island (CSI), effective September 1, 2009.
Mr. Bobb brings to CSI a wealth of experience in athletics administration and education having served as Director of Athletics and Associate Professor in the Department of Physical and Health Education at The City College of New York (CCNY) for 11 years. He also served for eight years as the Associate Dean of Student Affairs at CCNY.
Mr. Bobb contributed to the development of the CUNY Athletic Conference and demonstrated a strong commitment to the academic success of student athletes throughout his career. Mr. Bobb also held positions at Medgar Evers College where he was an Associate Professor, Director of Athletics, and Director of the Health and Physical Education Program; and at George Washington High School, where he was a teacher of Health and Physical Education.
Mr. Bobb received an MS in Education – Health and Physical Education, and a BS in Education – Secondary Health and Physical Education, both from CCNY.
Mr. Bobb is the recipient of numerous awards and honors including The CUNY-Con Edison-Ellis Bullock Jr. Award; The Edward Carpenter Education Award presented by The Harlem Network; and the Eastern College Athletic Conference Service Award.
