Dr. Bilge Yesil, Associate Professor in CSI’s Department of Media Culture, will give a talk hosted by the Center for Advanced Research in Global Communication (CARGC), at the Annenberg School of Communication, University of Pennsylvania, on Thursday, Mar. 31. Professor Yesil’s talk, “Resisting and Reversing Western Media Imperialism?: Turkey’s Global Communication Outlets,” which derives from her current research, will explore the politics of the English-language outlets created by the ruling AK Pari Parti under President Erdogan.
