The College of Staten Island held its Class of January 2024 Pinning Ceremony today, officially pinning 61 Associates of Applied Science in Nursing graduates.

Julianna Ficarra, AAS Class of 2024 and member of the Pinning Steering Committee served as Master of Ceremonies for the event, where guests were welcomed by Dr. H. Michael Dreher, Interim Dean of the School of Health Sciences and Acting Chairperson of the Department of Nursing. CSI Interim Provost Dr. Michael Steiper addressed the students and faculty in attendance, giving way to keynote speaker Joan O’Rourke, DNP, MBA, RN, Associate Executive Director of Surgery and Perioperative Services of Northwell Health System – Staten Island University Hospital.

After official remarks, the 61 students in attendance received their pins, taking part in the Nursing Lamp Ceremony before taking the Nurse’s Pledge prior to recess. See below for the full list of graduates, and see the full photo gallery of the event available below.
