The Dolphins men’s cross country team touched in 2nd place, and 1st amongst CUNAYC schools in Sunday’s York College Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park. The women’s team captured 10th place, 4th amongst CUNYAC schools.
CSI had three top 10 finishes for the men’s team. Andrew Pate ran in with a time of 28:49.10 very closely followed by Samuel Obisanya at 28:49.68 for a 2md and 3rd finish, respectively. Keith Grossman came in ninth with a time of 29:47. All three runners ran a personal best for the season.
The women’s team saw two top 25 finishes with Victoria Barry touching in at 29:12 in 18th place. Jackie Jamaleddine saw a 29:48 finish for 23rd place.
Head Coach Robert Russo is proud of his team, “All the hard work and training is paying off. We are halfway through the season and they really proved themselves today.”
